For students of BA Public Administration, Corporate Operations Manager is a slightly unusual or odd career choice. Business consultants   

Becoming a Business consultants may seem like risky business to you, and you would not be very wrong in thinking so. There is no organized way to get into this field, and most of the hiring happens through connections and networking. But once you get in, being a business consultant is one of the most rewarding professions out there.  

As a Business consultant, your main work would be to look after various aspects of business administration such as human resource policies or medicinal services. You would provide customers or clients with valuable business advice in order to fix various aspects of their business. Apart from this, you may be expected to oversee a few more things here and there, depending on who you are working for.

The work is super-exciting, especially if you are into administration and solving problems.

Another great thing about this profession is that the work life balance is entirely in your hand. In most cases, you would be free to set your own working hours. All an organisation would care about is that you submit the given work on time.  

Growth in this industry, like many others, is directly proportional to your skills. The better you are, the more you’re paid. Period. Anyone who says that this is wrong is lying. Public Relations and Fundraising Manager   

If you’re unsure about all the above given options, then Public Relations and Fundraising Manager may be the right fit for you. Lately the demand has been rising like crazy and now would be the perfect time to get into the job market for this field. If you have opened LinkedIn lately, you would have definitely seen that it is filled with employers asking for public relations managers and fundraising specialists.  

Okay, great. But what does a Public Relations Manager actually do? Here’s the answer.  

Public relations managers analyze the prevailing political, social and economic situations in the country. After performing proper research and analysis of such trends they provide their customers with valuable advice regarding campaigns and fundraising strategies. 

Sometimes your responsibilities may be more or less, but in essence, it all boils down to helping your organization in increasing sales. So if you think that you would enjoy doing that, then becoming a Public Relations Manager might just be your best option.  

Let’s get to the juicy part. Starting salaries are in the range of INR 4,00,000-5,00,000 per annum, but the earning potential is sky-high. And keep in mind that this is an average estimate, and your salary would be more than this if you live in a major town or a tier-1 city.  

Leadership opportunities are available with time, and the potential for career growth is phenomenal. But keep in mind that this is a desk job, so travel will rarely be a part of your professional life. So if travel is a big priority or a make-or-break thing for you, this career option may not be your best bet.
